Class-IV                         Subject- English                   Date- 2nd October, Wednesday 2019
Topic- On the Top of the World, Informational Text (Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing; 29th May 1953).
ICT tools and facilities used are- Laptop, OHP, Internet facilities, Smart phones and desktops.

Watching video online on how to browse net and use you tube online for academic reasons.

ICT based teaching and learning is one of the most important aspects of teaching-learning process particularly in this era of fast and technically advancing technology. Teaching and learning without the use of ICT can be very redundant since it’s the need of the generation. The learners will become inactive and un-participatory without the integration of ICT in the lessons apart from many more. On the other hand if the lesson is incorporated with the use of ICT, the learners are actively engaged, values related to ICT are also infused despite arousing their enthusiasm in learning.
In today’s class I have taught students on how to browse YouTube and find additional information for the taught topics. So that they can browse the internet and learn something more on the same topic on their own at any time convenient to them.

Students trying to browse internet to find additional information on the informational they have read from their text book on Edmund Hillary and Sherpa.

Few students of the class sharing their views on the use of internet in finding additional information to what is there in the text book.

To make the class interactive and students’ centered, I insisted students to browse the net on their own. They did in turn and if come across any problems I assisted them to go ahead. Students were also asked to relate the information of the text to that of the internet for better and realistic learning and understanding.

The class was very interactive and students actively participated in the lesson. Students showed their best attention and enjoyment. With the use of technologies in the lesson, students were empowered with a series of skills and attitudes about ICT that are essential tool of knowledge for success in this era. Students now learned how t0 browse internet and you tubes for academic and meaningful purposes only. It is therefore, very crucial to use ICT based teaching and learning as per my understanding.

                                                            Thank you students!
