Teaching and learning process associated with ICT can be very effective. It is parts where learners’ boredom can be eradicated rather bring keenness in learning. It is also a very ideal method where learners are immensely engaged in the learning activities. With the use of ICT based teaching and learning, values can be also easily infused into different lessons. It is therefore very vital for every teacher to use ICT as a part of this twenty-first century teaching and learning.


So far I have been using different types of Electronic gadgets/ ICT tools to teach my students. Some of them are-

1. Using Micro Phones.

                          
Using micro phones students really show extra interest in responding and taking part in the classroom activities.

2. Use of Smart Phones.
 Especially Smart phone helps students to find meaning for difficult words. It will help them to pronounce the words appropriately. They can also find synonyms, antonyms, example sentences and many more using cell phones. This will surely help them to learn and advance further.

3. Punching using laptops and desktops.


Punching, drawing, playing with letters, words and sentences, they really enjoys. It will definitely add extra charm in their learning. It works in improving their academic performance, I am sure.

4. Working in the Laptops.


They can use laptops to write their articles, letters, compositions and many more. They can even create their own folder and keep many things. They really enjoys learning using all these types of electronic gadgets.


Students using these types of ICT tools in the process of teaching and learning really shows extra interest. They learns eagerly paying full attention. If they continue with the same enthusiasm in their learning, I am sure that their academic performance will increase drastically.

Lesson through Video Tutorial

Electronic gadgets used: Video tutorial, projector, laptop, woofer, sound box, son ilex, microphone, and smart phone.



Use of ICT in teaching and learning promotes critical and reflective thinking of students gearing more to the achievement of expected goals adding variety in strategies.


Researchers point out that, ICT integrated lessons often benefit the affective domain of learning through optimum engagement of students in their activities improving enthusiasm and attitudes towards learning.


On 12th of September, 2019 I have taught “Riding the rapids” a text from their own text book through video tutorial.








Students really enjoyed the lesson through video. They also pointed that, they have seen their own English teacher in the video. They were really motivated. Lots of enthusiasms were seen in them throughout the video session.




Students were rushing to share what they have learned through video. Class-time went by within a blink though it was a block period adjusted with one of the friend for this lesson.







Finally, I am here to say that, my integration of various ICT skills and facilities in the class has totally changed the way of teaching learning scenario. IN one way it’s tiring and time consuming but on the other hand feeling proud of self with the implementation of ICT facilities in classroom.

Students won’t let me sit in the staff room for a minute; they rush in calling sir its English class. Student’s eagerness towards learning not only arouses interest among themselves, but also they are letting me to sail with them together, good sign of learning and progressing for all of us.

 In today’s classroom, ICT based teaching and learning has a powerful positive impact on students’ learning. Use of ICT in teaching ensures in capturing more attention and interest of students changing learning opportunities of students.
                                   

Here I have different things to share with my friends regarding use of ICT in my teaching and learning. I being teaching English in class IV, this is what I do sometimes to encourage and motivate my students.

While students deliver morning speech in English and read text in the class, I make video of them. Latter, I project their speech and reading video through the projector to the whole class.





Students will watch the video and later their friends will comment positive points as well as their drawbacks. Teacher will just sit beside the class and observe the scenario throughout. If major interference of teacher is needed, then I will just help them to solve their problem. If not through the video and their friend they will improve themselves for further learning.


I have used microphones, laptop, sound box, mobile, and projector. I made video, projected to them and students corrected themselves for their own learning, peer and individual assessment.



Friends, this technique is far better and effective than teacher always teaching, commenting, correcting, interfering and so on.
